My Poems

I’m not much of a poet, but over the years I’ve written a few simple lines…

Freedom

America… the free,
May God save us, You and Me…
I speak not just of land,
But of a freedom far more grand,
A freedom from the yoke of sin,
In Jesus, let your life begin!

Galatians 5:1

For freedom Christ has set us free;
stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

This Family

This family is forever,
With a love that’s tried and true,
We may not be ‘related’,
But in Christ, it’s me and you,
We help each other find Truth,
And give support when we are blue,
And even if we’re far away,
We’re there, to see what we can do,
I am so thankful for this gift,
Whether I know many or just few,
For everyday I am so blessed,
With a family member that is new!

In Him I Have Peace

The mighty wind blows and the waves roar,
When life’s problems persist, my Spirit will soar…
My life is in Christ, in Him will I trust,
When it’s hard to ‘go on’, I know that I must…
For He is my Way, my Truth and my Life,
In Him I have Peace, and no fear of the strife!

A Message from the Lord

I love you much more than words can ever say,
for you, My child, My love does grow each day.
Your burdens and sins, at My feet, please lay,
For by My Blood, the price for you, I did pay.
When your load is heavy, remember, I am The Way.

My Online Friends

I have some friends, their tried and true,
I’ve never met them, don’t really need to,
They are on the net, (yes, in my PC!),
and I truly love them and I know they do me!

The Gift of His Love

I am so lost, in this world of evil and sin
I want to survive, but where do I begin?
I must save myself… I just have to win.

Then the Truth of forgiveness to me does appear,
Through repentance and so many thankful tears,
It is not ‘I’ that can do anything…
Only Chirst Jesus, for salvation He brings!
All through HIS work on the cross that one day,
He shed His blood and died, to give me the way,
The way to my Father and to His heaven above,
Oh, thank You Lord, for the gift of Your love!

Thank You Jesus

I am so thankful for my Lord God’s Grace,
His Ultimate Love existing through time and space,
On that hill, on a cross, His Love caused Him to stay,
All so that I, could be His one glorious day,
It was not over… no, it was not the end,
He arose three day’s later and His reign did begin!
O’ thank You Christ Jesus for loving me so…
May Your Word live within me and continually grow.

Daughters of The King

We are His and we belong,
Sometimes week but He is strong,
We may stumble and may fall,
But through Christ we have it all,
For He is our Rock, our mighty King,
His praise and glory we will forever sing!

To Christ Jesus Be True

Stand up, be strong, keep the faith and carry on…
Until this race is won my friends, we must press on till the very end.
He does not promise us a life without pain, without persecution or one without rain…
But He does give us shelter and comfort in Him, and it is by His power that we are able to stand.
So hold fast to His Word that dwells within you, strive to do His will and above all, to Christ Jesus be true!

Moment by Moment

Moment by moment,
Lord, may Your Will be done,
Forever through each moment,
For Christ Jesus the Son,
Moment by moment,
Please direct me in Your way,
So that my feet will always travel,
For You each and every day.

Multiple Sclerosis

You are a thief, you snuff my will
You evil presence, that I can’t kill
You make me tired, so full of woe
You steal my legs… you nasty foe!

You take my eyesight, you take my balance
You are so forceful, but have no talents
You rob my strength, from top to bottom
You are a thief… you’re sly and rotten!

Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another.

Colors of Spring

One butterfly, it flutters by, on silent wings of blue…
The tender breeze blows gently by, the green trees so new…
A warm embrace of the glowing sun, bright yellow, bold and true…
Blessing me with the colors of Spring, so fresh and bursting through!

The evil swirls around me, causing anger and much pain,
A world full of people, but alone I think I stand,
I search to understand, to be cleansed in the rain,
But alone is an illusion, birthed by satan and his band,
For I live in this world of darkness, but I’m not of it I am told,
Christ Jesus is always with me, never leaving my weary side,
His Word is plainly written with a Truth of Power that is bold,
I will not shrink away, but boldly proclaim “In HIM I will abide!”
