Prayer Request

Thursday night, at about 10:30pm, my 21 year old son’s right lung completely collapsed.  He has been in the hospital since.  The lung is not staying inflated, they will be doing a CT scan and deciding whether he needs surgery.  Please lift him up, his name is Joseph.  Thank you so very much, knowing the church is lifting him up to our Lord God is so comforting.  God bless you all in Christ Jesus.

UPDATE  June 4, 2013 at 11:09 pm

I am exhausted… lol, but full of Gods Strength!! Joe was released from the hospital this evening (Tuesday) at about 8pm. He needs surgery on both lungs, but they will only do one at a time, starting with the right lung, which is the one that failed. Both lungs are thin and weak at the tops of them. Imagine a balloon that has been blown up over and over and over again and it gets a thin, weak spot on it, that spot then bulges out and is prone to rupture. He is in good spirits… as he said to me a few times over these past few days, “whether I live or die, I am Christs”… AMEN!!! There is NO, and I mean nothing more precious to a parent than the knowledge that their child is spiritually sound and loves the Lord! Anyway, he will make an appointment with the surgeon and go back in a month or so for the scheduled procedure. To not have the surgery, he has about a 49% chance of lung collapse again, and that increases with every failure, but once he has it corrected, that chance drops down to only 5%! Again, THANK YOU, thank you ALL so very much for the love you have shown, through your ‘likes’, thoughts, prayers and comments. I will forever give Praise to Jesus for you!

  1. Father God …today this very moment I ask that you heal Joseph with his bad lung. I don’t know Joseph but you do, so put your hands on him and his family to comfort them and remind them that you are in control of the situation and they are in good hands. If it be your will Father heal him that believes in you! I ask for this in the name of Jesus Christ I pray!!

  2. Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus, your prayers mean so much… I thank you from the depths of my heart for lifting him up. Everything is one step at a time, I am hoping we find out today whether he will need the surgery or not, but he is looking good and God is so Very Good, so, there is peace within! God bless you all!

  3. Praying for Joseph, and know that Dad hears each and every prayer. Praying for you, too, that you will have Heaven-sent peace and strength.

  4. Abba, We know that You are acquainted with the pain and sorrow that comes with the concern for our children. I thank you that you are in control in even this. Please strengthen my beloved sister and give her Your peace.
I ask for wisdom and discernment for the health care professionals who are handling Joseph.
I thank you for the work you are doing in all concerned, for reasons we cannot yet fathom.
Glorify Your name through this family, and bring him safely back to his mother, please.
    In Jesus’ name,
    Amen

  5. Dear Abba Father, may you place your loving, healing hand upon Joseph. Heal his lung, and allow him recover. May your loving arms surround his family and provide them with the peace, presence, comfort and strength that only You can give. May your Divine presence be felt by all who come into that room. May Jesus be glorified, honored and praised for what You have done, for what You are doing and for what You are going to do in his body. Psalm 42 says “For yet, I will Praise the LORD”. In Jesus’ powerful name, AMEN!
